My Best of My Life

Here, for now, I take a breath

So I can be here

I engulf my life

In searching for something certain

As the days pass by much too quickly

I wonder if it wasn't all a mistake

To be burdened with a heart torn to pieces

Even so, I chase after tomorrow

In a chance encounter I found

And raised the meaning of my life

Wiping away and leaving the tears behind

Now begins best of my life

Truth is, I'd like to cling to someone

But what-might-have-been all vanish

My footprints haven't gone to waste though

I'm certain they live on in my heart

I'll hold on to those words
